½ûÂþÌìÌà Parker Sowersby

Parker Sowersby is a multi-disciplinary designer from Somerset, Massachusetts, with a strong foundation in Graphic Design and dual minors in Communication and Art History. She began her creative journey in high school and quickly expanded her skills, diving into UX design during her college years. Parker's academic path has included hands-on internships and coursework, culminating in her Google UX Certification.

Her passion for visual expression also extends to video editing, where her work earned her the Best PSA award at the 2024 New Bedford Film Festival.

Parker’s minors in Communication and Art History Inspired her to study in Germany to gain insight into both International Communications and Documenta, one of the world’s most important contemporary art exhibitions. She actively engages in public speaking, including appearances at World IA Day, and has been featured on Amazon Prime’s The College Tour.

Her work is driven by a deep commitment to both creativity and accessibility. Parker believes that “good design is design for everyone,” a principle that guides her approach to creating user-centered, inclusive designs that resonate across diverse audiences.

Statement

“The Daisy is a magazine written half by me and half by chat GPT. I decided to work with AI for this project to demystify this new technology for both myself and others who view my work, showing its capabilities as a tool and its limits when applied as a replacement.”
