½ûÂþÌìÌà Mason Gomes

Mason Gomes is a graphic designer with a strong passion for sports—particularly Formula One Racing, the Boston Bruins, and the New England Patriots. His interest in graphic design grew out of a lifelong connection to sports and a fascination with the visual identity of professional teams. He is especially drawn to how branding is applied across advertising, posters, books, magazines, social media, and apparel. After graduation, Mason plans to pursue a career in the sports industry, creating visuals that bring teams and brands to life.

Statement 

This capstone project focuses on athletes who have faced significant challenges and persevered to achieve success. While sports often bring immense pressure, athletes are frequently reduced to statistics and televised performances. This project aims to shed light on their personal stories—their beginnings, their hardships, and how they overcame adversity. It includes a booklet offering an in-depth look into these athletes’ journeys and eight designed posters that serve as tributes, celebrating their resilience and accomplishments.
