½ûÂþÌìÌà Abigail Lonergan

Abigail Lonergan is a motivated and detail oriented graphic designer from Westwood, Massachusetts.  She is graduating from ½ûÂþÌìÌà Dartmouth as a part of the Commonwealth Honors College with a BFA in Graphic Design from the College of Visual and Performing Arts and with a Business Administration Minor from the Charlton College of Business.  Abby initially pursued a major in Animation + Game Arts where she had developed strong animation skills and discovered a passion for motion design.  She has several years of design experience from her Customer Engagement Design internship at IGT and freelance design projects such as social media marketing, apparel designs, business cards, packaging design and more.  Abby is interested in using her knowledge in business to create better creative and innovative design solutions.

Statement 

Maisy’s Meals is inspired by my cat, Maisy, who sparked my deep dive into feline care. Before adopting her, I spent a year researching feline behavior, which proved invaluable when managing her territorial marking and high energy. This knowledge allowed me to understand her needs, train her effectively, and create a harmonious home environment. Many cat owners struggle with behavioral challenges and, without proper guidance, may resort to rehoming their pets. To address this, I want to create a conceptual cat food brand that prioritizes owner education, offering research-backed information on feline nutrition and care. By providing education and resources, I hope to shift the narrative—helping people realize that unwanted behaviors don’t mean a cat is "bad," just misunderstood, and that with the right knowledge and diet, these challenges can be successfully addressed.
