½ûÂþÌìÌà Gabriela Dias

Gabriela is an illustrator from Massachusetts who works with watercolor, ink, and occasionally digital media. Her work is inspired by nature, fairy tales, and Art Nouveau. She is interested in illustrating children’s books and fine-line tattooing. When she is not designing, you can find Gabriela listening to old records on vinyl, caring for her houseplants, and spending time with her beloved cats.

Statement

In this series of watercolor and ink illustrations, I imagined how a world of fairies might appear. My love for organic shapes and all things whimsical was the driving force behind this project, and I focused on exploring how these little creatures would interact with their environment. I collected all of these works to create The Fae, a coffee table book, in which each piece is accompanied by a corresponding botanic illustration.
