RaiseMe allows high school students to earn financial aid for college enrollment

RaiseMe is a social enterprise working in partnership with the former First Lady Michelle Obama鈥檚 鈥淩each Higher Initiative鈥 and over 275 colleges to expand access to higher education by improving the way students prepare for college鈥攂oth financially and academically. Rather than waiting until the end of high school to award aid, which is often too late to affect a student's college ambitions or choices, RaiseMe enables students to earn grant aid throughout high school.

鈥淐ollaborating with RaiseMe supports our mission to ensure that students have access to an exceptional education at an affordable cost,鈥 said Robert Andrea, Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management.

Students can begin earning aid as early as 9th grade for doing all the things that best prepare them to succeed, whether that is achieving good grades, volunteering in the community, or participating in extracurricular activities. The amount that students earn from a college on RaiseMe represents the minimum amount of institutional aid scholarship dollars they will receive if they apply and are admitted to that college.
