Career Navigator Series: Session 1 - Preparing for Internships
This interactive workshop blends a presentation with a practical session to guide students through the U.S. internship process. Participants will learn how to build strong Handshake and LinkedIn profiles, prepare key employment documents, and develop a strategic approach to identifying and targeting employers. The session covers critical topics such as CPT/OPT requirements, recruitment timelines by industry, and how to spot internship scams. Students will also explore tools like Corsair Network and GoinGlobal, and gain tips for researching companies, networking effectively, and making the most of career fairs.
