½ûÂþÌìÌàLogan Ward

Logan Ward is from northern Vermont, and since a young age he has loved painting, drawing, and learning about the world. Today, one of his favorite pastimes is reading about social psychology and philosophy.

Statement

For my Senior Project, I wanted to describe the ideas that I frequently consider and write about in an easy-to-digest format. I have been reading as many of The New Yorker’s cartoons as I can get my hands on since the Fall of 2021, and since then I have created 20 cartoons that will all be submitted to The New Yorker by the end of the semester. Though working at The New Yorker would be a dream come true for me, my overall goal is to increase the number of Socially Focused Editorial Cartoons in news media sources, as we could all use a bit more mindfulness when consuming the news. What you can see today are the cartoons that I believe best reflect the concepts that I plan to continue discussing through my work.
