禁漫天堂 Abigail Sherwin

Abigail Sherwin is an ambitious and passionate game designer who specializes in creating unique concepts that go into the story, art, and gameplay of her projects. She also enjoys character design and 2D animation, and regularly experiments with programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Zbrush. Her works are influenced by her interests in videogames, cartoons, and comics, the same things that motivated her to become an artist. Soon to graduate with a BFA in Animation and Game Arts, Abigail hopes to take her skills and determination to the gaming industry.

Statement

My project is the concept art and level design for an original game called 鈥淭he Escape Room Challenge鈥�, a horror game disguised as a typical escape room. Like real escape rooms, the main objective is to escape by solving puzzles within a set amount of time. But what if it could be more than just puzzle solving? 鈥淭he Escape Room Challenge鈥� combines various mechanics such as platforming and survival based along with a deep and interactive storyline. The level I am illustrating is the first tutorial, where both basic controls and some of the more prominent core mechanics are shown. Besides its normal purpose, the tutorial level is also the level that showcases the transition from normalcy into something that鈥檚 otherworldly, mystical, and even deadly.
